I have been so far off track with my fitness! I haven't been tracking my calories consistently, focusing on my 12k/day steps, and I haven't been following the No S diet. Things went sideways around Nick's graduation a few weeks ago, continued during our Las Vegas trip, and definitely kept going during our wonderful weekend with my family.
Time to get back on track! I also need to figure out a new routine with my work schedule, although that will be a bit of a work in progress. It sounds like I might be working from home for the first few weeks due to construction, which frees up time in the mornings to potentially attend a workout class or go for a run. If I am going to the office, I need to see if they have showers, as I could attend an early workout class close to the office, and then shower & get ready there, which is something I used to do at my old company. And, I don't think this company provides free lunches, so I'll go back to my old lunch packing ways! But, everything is a bit TBD until I figure out if I'm going into the office 3x/week, or working from home. More to come on this, as I build a new routine for myself.
It was a busy week, but I did get in some workouts:
- Four no workout days, which is pretty rare for me - two while I was at my parents house, and one on Monday when we came back from Las Vegas. I skipped class on Thursday, as I tweaked a muscle the day before.
- I did get in three workout classes.
- Four No S days
- Work out every day
- 12k steps
- A salad every day
- Track calories again
- Get on the scale (yikes)
Oh wow, I kept thinking I'd only been working with this trainer for 6 months and that that was my longest record of consistently doing exercise every week since the fibro took over, but it's actually coming up on 11 months now. I've had some bad weeks since starting but only a few which has been such a pleasant surprise. All my previous attempts to work out has ended up with me bedridden for weeks, this is pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that you've found something that's working for you! That is so awesome. - HP
Deleteattempting to get in my four hours a week walking which was difficult last week bc of the huge rains, but Indid make it.
ReplyDeleteNow we have over 105 heat indexes most days and the challenge is to do it and not overheat, which happened yesterday. I have almost had a heat stroke before so I am very careful regarding heat and still trying to figure out how I miscalculated yesterday. Closest workout place is 20 miles from where I live and not doable. None in town where I work. Cindy in the South
Oof, Cindy. That sounds hard. Have you priced out used equipment you could keep at your place? I can't remember if you have space, but maybe an elliptical or small treadmill? - HP
