For our airport meals, I made myself a wrap with turkey, hummus & veggies. Plus an apple & some Chex Mix (it was just leftover, but isn't a normal snack for me). M had a steak sandwich with sauteed mushrooms & swiss cheese (YUM) with leftovers from New Year's Eve.

For skiing, I brought chili, which is both super easy to reheat (we prepped at home the night before) & tastes even better the next day. And, even more important, is dairy free. The kids added cheese & sour cream. For sandwiches, Nick had a grilled cheese (yes, it was cold by the time he ate it, but he prefers it grilled vs a cold cheese sandwich. Unclear why). A few people had PB&Js, carrots & hummus, fruit, etc. I pack heartier stuff when we are skiing & the like.

Do you have a few go tos that you really like? Even cold pizza makes a good leftover packed meal.

Good luck with Chase - I totally think that should qualify!Hawaii Plannerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04760426766801381563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2445523662180116681.post-73794531455777182672019-01-07T18:18:13.895-08:002019-01-07T18:18:13.895-08:00Traveling on a holiday is crazy enough - I'm s...Traveling on a holiday is crazy enough - I'm sure the gate attendants just cringe when something goes wrong & travelers start to lose their cool. That pricing at McDonalds is odd. I think they make it confusing on purpose. I don't know why I like the food before I pack it and then have little interest in it at the time but I also need to adjust for my change in diet - most everything packaged is full of carbs and sugar which is exactly what I shouldn't have! What do you usually pack?

I'm really hoping that Alaska's customer service stays good even though they're eliminating some of the reasons I liked them to begin with (the refund for price differences!)

I've been focused on building wealth rather than frugality but I think we were - I cooked all week, except for that one under $20 lunch when I walked my legs off and couldn't move so I was conveniently stuck at the taqueria ...

We bought a lot of groceries and ate pretty well. I am thinking about engaging in a fight with Chase Sapphire over categorizing my Alaska gift certificate as a business purchase and not travel. Wish me luck? I have seen passengers act so badly toward the people at the gates when they have no control over anything happening about arrivals or departures.
