Here's what I'm hoping to accomplish over the course of the weekend. My parents arrive with the kids on Sunday early afternoon, so anything I need to accomplish has to happen before then.
- 4 pace walks (training for my event). Two need to be long, and one short but fast. The other is somewhere in the middle.
- Two strength training workouts
- One stretching workout (likely yoga)
- Clean the fridge
- Make 6 dozen muffins
- Clean & organize both freezers
- Pick up a copy of our utility bill (we're having trouble with school registration due to the move, & they need a crazy amount of paperwork)
- Go to my office & print a bank statement (because, of course our printer is out of ink!)
- Pick up ant spray, and try to eradicate the little beasts.
- Go to Trader Joes for frozen edamame. A healthy & filling easy snack.
- Inventory the school supplies to determine what we need to buy, vs can supply from home.
- Organize my filing tray.
- Call our insurance company to determine the savings in paying our auto policy all at once (vs monthly)
- Make a menu
- Get all paperwork prepped for a school registration visit on Monday.
- Return a dress
- Check everyone in for flights
- Clean the house
- Organize the boys closets
- Wash all sheets/make beds
- Go to Costco
- Go to Rite Aid
- And, the produce stand
- Text a friend to understand when Sam is supposed to be at middle school, as we haven't received any information due to the registration "challenges"
- Organize the pantry
- Water all of the plants
- Sweep the patio
Phew! Let's hope I can get the majority of this done this weekend! Absolute "must dos" in bold.

Wow, that is a lot of stuff to try to get done. Good for you! Tell me about your pace walks. For what is it that you are training? Would also be interested in the frozen edamame? ReplyDeleteWelcome! I'm training for Portland to Coast - it's a relay that goes from Portland to Seaside Oregon. I do this with my family (parents, aunts, uncles, etc). It's amazing & so much fun. I have the two longest legs (close to 8 miles each), although not the hilliest. I hate hills. ;-) I'm trying to get my pace time to 13:00/mile, which is pretty fast for 8 miles. The event is in three week, so peak training time.
DeleteFor the edamame, it's shelled, so you just boil it for about five minutes. I drain it, then lightly salt to taste. I eat it on its own, but I know people mix it into fried rice, add it to salads, etc.

Oh, that's great to hear about the race. I'd love to do that! Yes, 13 minute walking miles and doing eight at once is really fast. Good luck! I got the most important thing on my to-do list done today--that was picking Rebecca up from her week long AHG camp that she has been at 3 hours away from our home. So most of my to-dos for tomorrow will be helping her put her stuff away and doing her stinky camp laundry! LOL

ReplyDeleteThe insurance company was a breeze - I realized that I didn't cancel our rental property insurance, so the call saved me $108. Feeling good about that! And, I was moderately productive yesterday afternoon/evening, so I need to kill it today. :-)

ReplyDeleteI hope you get the school stuff sorted out quickly. I was amazed by the amount of paperwork I needed to provide in order to get my daughter's driving permit ... her birth certificate & social security card, my driver's license and then three more documents on top of that to verify our residency. And it was just a permit!
Ack, I know! I'm absolutely dreading it. Fingers crossed for Monday!
