Saturday Happenings

I'm now on Paxlovid, to try & keep my symptoms from progressing, so fingers crossed that works. It will be a quiet weekend for me, for obvious reasons. Any errands noted below will be run by others. ;-)

  1. Menu plan
  2. Shopping list for Costco/produce stand
  3. Garden
  4. Finish LAST module of leadership course. The bright side of taking time off of work & laying around all week is that I made a ton of progress on my leadership course, and I'm on the last unit. Once I've completed it, I can begin my role as an advisor for the university program.
  5. Stretch. I'm tight from all of that time resting - my body is quite confused.
  6. Find an option to organize Nick's closet. I've posted on Buy Nothing, but if I come up empty there, may look online for something at Target or Amazon.
  7. Work on plan for Bend trip
  8. Review schedule for the week
  9. Read by the pool
What are you up to this weekend? Hopefully you are having a more exciting time than me!

  1. Paxlovid hasn’t shown to be much help. Vitamin D, querciten (sp), vitamin C. Has worked for me and I’ve been in and out of hospitals with my Mom this whole time. She has dementia so I e. Even allowed in hospital. I have not taken the mRNA shots. I did get my mother shots and booster and she has had Covid twice??? Get better soon

    1. Paxlovid reduces your risk of hospitalization or death, particularly for people with underlying condition, which I have.

  2. I'm sorry to hear you have Covid. I hope get well soon. I had my booster & got Covid twice. The worst part was the fatigue. I had flu like symptoms for 2-3 days, but then 2-3 weeks of constant fatigue. It's best to just get all the rest that you can. I only used Wal-act (Walgreens brand that works great for the flu) and that helped a bit. I also drank lots of Canada Dry, OJ & water, but barely ate. Hopefully your symptoms aren't as bad and you'll be right as rain in no time.

    1. I definitely feel like I've turned the corner today. Pretty much everyone I know has gotten this variant, but those who have the booster/vaccines seem to be more minimally impacted, which is good.

I've been hydrating a lot, and have made my way most of the boys Gatorade. I've also been eating a lot of all natural fruit popsicles. On some days, those are all that have sounded good.

  3. Hope you feel better soon! Not sure what's up with this virus but it seems like everyone I know, even the triple vaxxed, have had some sort of covid infection over the past couple months. Fortunately it seems to pass within a week or so.

    1. Agreed, everyone is getting this variant. I feel like I've turned the corner today, which is such a relief. I get super antsy sitting at home & doing a lot of nothing!

  4. I’m so sorry you have Covid. I hope you have a very mild version and it goes away quickly and the Paxlovid works well.

    1. Thank you! Since I have lupus, it's meant to help avoid hospitalization, but does less to speed your recovery. Primarily intended to keep you from getting seriously ill. I do feel better today, so I'm happy about that!
