I'm back from my longest ever business trip! It ended up being super useful, and a great experience, but so incredibly long. I flew back yesterday morning, and since I don't sleep on flights, that meant that yesterday was a real "phone it in" type of day. I ordered Panera for lunch (delivery), and had Nick pick up Greek food on his way home from soccer practice. The only "frugal wins" I can add are that I used a gift card for Panera, and a $2 off coupon code for the Greek food.
I did buy a few things while in Japan. Uniqlo was quite cheap, as the Japanese Yen is currently down against the dollar. I was able to pick up a few Christmas gifts for the boys.
I also submitted all of my personal expenses for my trip yesterday, which means I'll get the money back very quickly. Hurrah for that.
Today is going to be an interesting day. I was planning to attend a morning workout class (I was apparently very optimistic when I booked this), but I don't feel good. I've been fighting a cold for the last 10 days or so, and plan to maybe just go for a walk instead. I have a BUNCH of work to do, so I need to get that done & then the house looks like a tornado has been through it, I need to finish putting clothes away, do laundry, wash some bedding & wrap some Christmas gifts. No rest for the wicked!
What about you? Did you have a frugal week? Share your wins, as mine were very sparse!
I had my usual frugal practices and perhaps a couple more.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Consistency for the win! Nice work.
DeleteWe had a pretty decent week, we did manage to get the tree up and the house decorated and I do have the majority of presents wrapped. Still going to pick up a few children's books for some friends of the family. Sounds like you needed a break after such a long business trip. I hope you get some good rest and get your to do list finished.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are in good shape for the holidays! I've gotten a ton of rest this weekend, and really just slept, relaxed & done a few things here & there.
DeleteJre I just got a text picture of my daughter and two granddaughters of their pods they’re sleeping in (16 & 18).They are in Tokyo for 1 1/2 days on a lay over Mn to San Francisco to Tokyo to Thailand for 9 days. So interesting, and what an experience! I will be nervous.
