Fitness Monday

 Another week has gone by!

Weight: 158.8, a drop of 2.6 lbs, some of which is hormonal timing of weighing in

Calories: 1,163. I had one day where I was not hungry & ate about 1/2 of my normal calories. I did, however, keep my calories very in check this week in general.

Steps: 10,275. Still tracking behind, as I didn't get a hike in yesterday & had a few low step days when I was in the office.

Workouts:

  • 2 - 45 minute elliptical workouts
  • 1 workout cardio/strength class
  • 1 strength body pump class
  • 1 yoga class
  • 3 walks

Goals for the week: Overall I'm pleased with the week and pretty much did the best I could given my schedule. I'd still like to increase my steps, and get in one more strength class & one more cardio class. I'm  not sure what's realistic, but I only have to drive to the office one week instead of two. From a calorie/nutrition perspective, all was well with the exception of needing more fiber. I'm tracking protein & fiber to ensure I'm getting in all of the correct nutrition.

How did you do last week with your health & fitness goals?

  1. I weighed in at 176 this morning as I'm losing about one pound a day from the swelling/fluid I'm retaining after my surgery. I was 167 the day I came home, but then the swelling started. I'm still not cleared to do exercise yet, but I know that will help when he clears me for it.
I work on fiber everyday too as it can be hard to get it in when doing low carbohydrate. Those carb advantage tortillas have a good amount of fiber in them though at like 18 grams per tortilla. I'm not crazy about getting my fiber in using a tortilla, but it does work, beans are really good for adding fiber too.

    2. Thanks for the fiber idea, Belinda! I will check that out. I hope your swelling goes down & you get cleared to exercise soon, but similar to Sam, take the time you need to rest up & feel better! - HP

  2. You're so focused. I'm committed to getting my health back. I feel like I'd have enjoyed my last few days of vacation more. Now with Springsteen summer around the corner, want to be able to fully enjoy.

    1. I've got my Greek trip as an incentive to wanting to drop some weight & be at a healthier weight. I've promised myself that I'm not buying the adorable blue & white dress I'd like to get for the trip until I lose some pounds, as I don't want to buy it in one size & then not have it fit properly. - HP

  3. Still not reaching my step count every day, but each day I get a bit better. I really need to lose some of this weight.

    God bless.

  4. You should be pleased with the week! Funny, I just bought a really cute blue and white dress for our trip to Europe in a couple of months. It is a size smaller for incentive.
