Saturday Happenings

I'm very, very excited to have a long weekend! Monday is also a holiday in the UK, so I won't wake up to a ton of emails & work on Tuesday, as both main offices will be on holiday. Bonus!

It was a busy week, and I am pretty run down. It's a great chance to rest & recharge.

On the list for day:

  • Date night with M! We have a $150 credit card statement 2x a year that we can use at a handful of local restaurants. The restaurant we like is quite fancy, so we prefer to sit at the bar & have a more casual dinner service. The bar menu is also better, IMO. ;-)
  • The hard workout class (a few days a week they have a template that's even harder than usual, and the regular class is plenty hard enough. But, I like the smaller class format).
  • Menu planning
  • Shopping list
  • Work on schedule for next week
  • Workout schedule for next week
  • Sort birthday & Father's Day gifts for M (I will be in Greece for Father's Day, but I want to ensure the boys have something fun planned)
  • Catch up on my Stanford class
  • Clean the floor boards
  • Kitchen
  • Bathrooms
  • Vacuum
As you can see, this is a little "optimistic", shall we say, so I will inevitably roll some things over to the rest of the weekend! Nick is working at a soccer tournament for his old club today, so he is thrilled to make some money. He also has a CPR class to attend tomorrow for his summer job, and has a summer class starting next week. Sam is busy with work as well, as weekends are his prime shifts.

What about you? What are you up to this weekend? Hope you have a mix of fun & relaxing plans.

  1. My Saturday will just be going with my mood. It's been rare to have the house ( other than pets) and I don't want to feel a "have to" get done list. Planting my garden bed is the only thing I absolutely want done. I have tomorrow and part if Monday too to myself.

  2. Oh my goodness, your Greek trip is right around the corner - how fabulous for you!

Your list, as always, is very impressive. I send you all the good energy to knock it out!

Over here my DH and I are leaving shortly for a scenic walk and back to our weekend Farmers Market. I'm in need of high quality hummus and pita chips for a Memorial Day party here, both of which are available at this Farmers Market. Otherwise, going to our first movie of the year (aside from the foreign film festival we attend every January) - we're going to see biopic Michael, followed by dinner out.

Tomorrow is a water concert at our social club, and then we're hosting a group for dinner on Memorial Day. All fun, no stress!

  3. You have a very ambitious day planned.
I only have a couple of quick errands for the day, then just house stuff.

  4. That is an ambitious day ahead for you. I hope you get it all done and then some. I love busy days when I get a lot accomplished. Makes me feel good.

  5. Nice list - sometimes I breeze thru my list without thinking much about it. Sometimes its a slog. I, meanwhile, will be at work, reading blogs. (:

  6. My Saturday has been finishing some sewing (yes and now the machine and small sewing table are gone from the living room), doing a bit of tidying up, baking some hamburger buns for tomorrow, and planning tomorrows weeding and planting schedule.

    God bless.

  7. I caught up on the posts and ai am so glad M heard from his mom, my deepest condolences on the passing of his dad, so glad the kids are enjoying their summer activities, and it goes without saying I completely understand about work! Hope you have a fun and restful weekend! I am busy setting up my home office and cleaning my decidedly cluttered house. Things really got out of control on the home front the past couple of years!
