We've been eating a lot of prepped (by me) freezer meals, which has been nice. It's a busy stretch, with Nick playing in two soccer games, practice three nights a week, Sam's job, & lots of other teen activities. It's so helpful to have backup meals at the ready.
- Friday - spaghetti & meatballs
- Saturday - chicken curry & rice
- Sunday - egg roll in a bowl
- Monday - leftover chicken curry
- Tuesday - leftover egg roll in a bowl
- Wednesday - bacon wrapped chicken & roasted squash
- Thursday - any leftovers, or gyozas & wings
- Friday - birthday dinner out
What about you? What's on your menu for the week?
LOL, still trying to clear out the bits and bobs. I think I may have come up with a plan. Each week I will use up at least two items from the bits and bobs, and two of the older ready made meals from the freezer downstairs. I am hoping that works.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We're also in a bits & bobs/use it up season!
DeleteThis reminds me that I want to have egg roll in a bowl soon. Since my very limited shopping challenge is over, I finally bought some ginger root today, and the store had an unannounced cabbage sale. Looks like I am in business.
ReplyDeleteWe really like egg roll in a bowl. We top ours with peanuts & sriracha.
DeleteYours sounds good! I have spaghetti on my menu this week too. I also have salmon, Polish sausage, hamburgers, and bbq chicken.
ReplyDeleteI love barbecue chicken!
DeleteI'd like to know more about that bacon wrapped chicken. That sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteIt's the easiest kind of dinner - they sell it in the frozen section at Costco! :-) It's delicious, and the chicken is wrapped with bacon, and stuffed with cheese, but is raw/frozen. Take it out (packages of two, sold in maybe a box with 8 total, for about $12 or so), and bake. We serve ours with a side of veggies & a salad, & you have a meal.
