I can't believe week three is over! We're in the home stretch now. If you're participating in the February Fitness Challenge, be sure to post with a link to your blog & leave me a comment (you get one prize entry for each week that you comment) on your progress so you can be entered to win one of the two $25 paypal drawing prizes!
Last week I posted about standing in my own way, & struggling to get up at 5:00 am. . . And, I'm happy to say that I got up three times during week 3 to work out in the morning. Woohoo for progress!
) Track my calories in MyFitnessPal every day, & stay within my calorie
allotment 90% of the time. In February, that boils down to 25 days. It's my
birthday month, so trying to be realistic. - I've tracked my calories every day, and have
stayed within my calorie allotment 85% of the time. Close!
2)
Get 1,000 minutes of cardio. - I'm at 1049 minutes, so I'm crushing this goal & still have 7 days left in the month!
3) Complete 10 strength workouts. - I'm at 5 workouts, (up from 2 last week), so I'm picking up the pace. Not sure if I can achieve 10, but I'm doing better on this one.
4)
Complete 7 stretching workouts. - I'm at 2, so this needs to be a focus for the
last week.
5) Bonus
goal - attend a Pilates or Barre workout class. I have a Groupon for a local
studio, but have never made it given M's travel schedule & the kids. I'd
love to make this a priority. -
I'm moving this off of my priority list for the month. It's just not realistic
right now for me. The Groupon will expire without me using it (*cringe*), but
right now, I need to set realistic goals for myself & worry about what I can
accomplish at home with the kids.
Here's my workout plan for this week:
Monday - Skied 15 runs (half day). Lots of good cardio.
Tuesday - Ran 4.25 miles + lifted weights + pilates.
Wednesday - Ran 4 miles.
Thursday - 60 minutes of cross-training (elliptical) + lifted weights
Friday - will run 6 miles, as specified by my training plan
Saturday - last long run in my half marathon training plan. 12 miles!
Sunday - rest day
How about you? How's your February Fitness Challenge going? Leave a comment with your blog post, so we can cheer you on! :-)
Crash and burn for me - really bad weather - not cold, but stormy - being sick for a week, and my pain level at about 10, there was no way.
ReplyDeleteI have done my yoga and walked sporadically, but nothing like I wanted to do. I crush stretching and strength training, but find it very difficult to do cardio! We are so opposite!
Epic Fail for me too. Maybe March will be my month?
