Happy to all of the mom's out there, or those in a mom role! I'm planning to go to a workout class this morning, get some chores done, and read my book by the pool. Always my favorite choice on a sunny day.
- Friday - out with friends, I had the happy hour mini slider appetizer
- Saturday - oven baked chicken fajitas
- Sunday - M's choice, as he's making dinner for Mother's Day, but I suspect it's zereshk polo + beef kebabs, based on what I've seen from the grocery shopping
- Monday - leftover fajitas
- Tuesday - leftovers from Sunday
- Wednesday - lemon pepper chicken (using lemons from the garden)
- Thursday - any remaining leftovers
- Friday - leftover lemon pepper chicken
What about you? What's on your menu for the week ahead? If your a mom, what's your favorite Mother's Day meal?
My son's working but I'll hang out with the girls. They'll help me with some yard work and we'll then have picky bits and perhaps a drink or two on the patio. My son has a ysy week ahead so I'll likely do meals that are easy reheat and eat.
ReplyDeleteYour day sounds amazing! I will be at work all day with Moms of sick kids...I made easy menus out for the week involving pre-cooked meats like orange chicken, corned beef, and taco meat. My mother's day gift to myself was a bouquet of grocery store flowers, some chocolate, and some Charlie cologne cause I'm all fancy like that. (:
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to you also.
ReplyDeleteI had to look up the recipe for the rice dish and it sounds fantastic.
Happy Mother's Day to you. Our meal was one done on the BBQ. Chicken thighs, potatoes and onions, and carrots in foil packets.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Mother's Day! We went with Korean tofu soup on Sunday because it's delicious and ALSO because it means I get to enjoy leftovers at least 2 days after :)
