Here's what I'm hoping to accomplish:
1) Financial
- Stick to the budget & keep saving for the taxes due on 7/15
- Pay down our mortgage to new mini milestone
- No clothing/shoes/jewelry purchases
- Make $200 in side hustle
- Use 10 random items from freezer/pantry
2) Family
- As the parks open up, find time to take the boys to socially distanced activities
- Off the computer by 7:30 each evening (not counting reading)
- Have a weekly half hour alone with M
- One call with M's family
- Practice Farsi & Spanish
- Make revised summer plans
3) Fitness/health
- Lose 3 lbs
- Work out every day
- Track calories (goal of 1400 average/day), & eat 5 servings of fruit & veggies
- Complete 1200 minutes of cardio, 10 strength & 5 stretching workouts
- Meditate 20 times
4) Personal/creative
- Stay connected with friends, at least 2x/month
- Volunteer
- Journal every day
- Adapt a more positive mind set
- Listen more often vs talking
- Reduce swearing
- Read one non-fiction book
- Compliment M every day
- Support the kids with online learning
- One project/day (taking advantage of WFH situation)
What about you? What are your goals for May? How is the quarantine impacting your goals?
Now that I know I'll be working form home for May, but that there might be some glimmers of a return to some aspects of normal life as we approach summer, I may create a May goal list as well. I should do a 5# weight loss goal, but I think 3 is more reasonable unless I really change behavior.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the 3 lbs vs 5lbs. Five pounds would require more sacrifice than I'm currently willing to make. :-) I'm enjoying life a bit, working out hard, and keeping track of my eating. But, dropping down to 1200 calories/day isn't in the cards for me right now. Or, ever, probably.
DeleteJust basically survival, and figuring out what to eat at home each day. We can't afford to eat out on reduced salaries right now so both of us look forward to something yummy at the end of a stressful day (starting to lose clients, lost one yesterday). Also finish planting everything and just start enjoying our lovely back yard. That's pretty much it :) Glad they opened the parks there, I heard about the fiasco at the beaches, some people just don't get it though
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your work. Fingers crossed things pick up quickly.
DeleteI wish people could just stay in place for a few more weeks & then we call all slowly get more options available. The longer they act like fools, the longer this draws out.
I need to update my blog and get things listed, also need to pay bills.
