We had a nice weekend, full of lovely fall weather. My only complaint is that I didn't sleep well last night. Hopefully I'll catch up a bit tonight!
Here's what we're eating this week:
- Friday - gyozas & chicken
- Saturday - chicken fajitas
- Sunday - butternut squash soup, homemade bread/grilled cheese
- Monday - chicken burritos
- Tuesday - soup & sandwiches
- Wednesday - spaghetti & meatballs
- Thursday - tacos
- Friday - TBD. The boys are likely going to the homecoming football game, so if they are gone, we might go out to dinner
What about you? Have you tried any good recipes lately?
I was just going on and on in my blog that I might have forgotten where my kitchen is after this weekend. We have a bit more coolish weather-still high 60's and sunny, but maybe getting to sop weather finally. I really want to make bread.
ReplyDeleteIt was perfect soup weather - it's getting chillier in the evenings here. And, the bread makes the meal! :-)
DeleteA friend gave me some canned preserved lemons, and I usef some of them to make the most amazing lemon chicken and green oluves recipe. The depth of flavor was fantastic.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, like SAM above, my kitchen saw no action over the weekend, but I do have a vegetarian chili currently going in the crockpot, and will serve it over baked sweet potato, along plus some leftover jalapeno corn bread on the side.
Jalapeno cord bread sounds absolutely delicious.
DeleteNothing really new being planned right now. I am sticking to tried and true for awhile. Once the Bible study is done and things get a bit more back to normal there are a few new recipes I want to try.
ReplyDeleteYour menu sounds lovely.
God bless.
Sounds delicious. We are just winging it this week, so nothing planned here.
