It's been a bit of chaos lately, with lots going on & not a lot of menu planning. I definitely need to decide what we're having for dinners this week.
- Friday - Nick had friends over for poker, and I ordered them pizza. M & I had coconut shrimp & salad.
- Saturday - we ended up skipping dinner, as it was a crazy day.
- Sunday - I made a double batch of this chicken teriyaki rice, as Sam was supposed to be home with his girlfriend. Their plans changed, so we now have A LOT of leftovers! I froze half, to avoid waste.
- Monday - tacos
- Tuesday - leftover chicken teriyaki rice
- Wednesday - chicken shawarma
- Thursday - spaghetti & meatballs
- Friday - leftover shawarma
What about you? What's on your menu this week?
My son made a huge pot of soup on Saturday, I did chili yesterday, and thawed a large pork roast. Noire cooking after that as it has to be leftovers or repeats. My turkey I bought always back finally is thawing so that'll be cooked in the weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove that your son cooks & shares the kitchen tasks with you - that must make things easier for both of you. (HP)
DeleteLots of leftover can be a true Christmas gift for sudden plan changes. It was my experience once our left for college all plans were minute by minute and extremely fluid. It was always best to have something that could just be heated for unexpected dinner guests
ReplyDeleteSO much this! I've been trying to make a big dinner for everyone since Saturday. Another fail tonight. ;-) I did manage to get everyone to eat a charcuterie before they ran off to their various events. Nick took a to go container to the library for finals studying. Sam had some appetizers with his GF before they headed out for date night. (HP)
