Menu Plan Sunday

We all might be out (minus Sam) later in the week, as we wait for M's schedule to stabilize a bit more. Nick is also going to Lake Tahoe with friends, so we will take that opportunity to have meals he doesn't prefer. ;-)

Friday - baked salmon + cauliflower rice Unexpected guests again, so we turned to hot dogs (always on stand by, some buns I found in the freezer + potato salad. And, fruit.

Saturday - Philly cheese steaks

Sunday - Sesame chicken + rice

Monday - chicken wings & gyozas

Tuesday - leftover sesame chicken & rice

Wednesday - possibly out of town for dinner. If not, something haphazard from the freezer.

Thursday - possibly out of town for dinner. If not, something haphazard from the freezer.

Friday - grilled chicken (freezer) + caprese salad

What about you? What's on your menu for the week ahead?

  1. I had gotten boneless skinless chicken thighs on closeout but needed to cook as I didn't want to refreeze, so that will be part of a couple meals. I have the girls here tomorrow for supper due to chaotic circumstances so doing a huge vehan

  2. How do you reheat your frozen meat, especially the grilled?

    1. We steam all of our leftovers. My process is: fill the smallest size pot that fits the leftovers. Add just enough water to fill the bottom of the pot (picture the amount of oil you'd add to coat the bottom of a skillet - not much at all). Put the water onto boil. Once the water is boiling, add leftovers, cover with the lid, and turn the stove top to your lowest setting. Turn off altogether as soon as the food is appropriately warm, to avoid over cooking. I generally have a sense of how long most of our leftovers take to reheat at this point. Typically less than 10 minutes, as we defrost the day of, so the food isn't frozen. You can certainly follow the same process with frozen food, but it takes longer. - HP

  3. I should almost be finished clearing out the fridge freezer over the next week or so (at least I hope). I did get my monthly menu made for August and I hope to stick with it.

    God bless.

  4. I made a list that includes quiche, salmon, chicken burgers, and something with ground turkey. I'm trying to use up all that we have in the freezer and go from there,
