It was not a good step week, as you can see from the results. A combination of opting for a strength class on a day when I could actually go to class (the only one that worked for my schedule), an in office day, a doctor's appointment & a hair cut (my first one in 10 months! It was more than overdue). That said, I did manage three strength workouts this week, which is my goal & a nice improvement.
Weight: 149.5 - very pleased to see that I'm in the 140s again, as that's a nice mental milestone for me. Down 1.1 lbs from last week. I've been trying to add in more strength training, to ensure that I'm not losing muscle, which is a concern when you are steadily losing pounds.
Calories: 1,359 calories/day
Steps: 9,879/ day average
Workouts:
- 2 45 minute elliptical workouts
- A full strength training class
- 2 classes that are 1/2 strength training & 1/2 cardio
Goals for the week:
- Stay on track with my fitness & calories, despite being at a work event
I am interested in how inflammation from your Lupus goes away on the gl-p 1. My daughter Signe' has seen a huge decrease in her arthritis symptoms.
ReplyDeleteSo far, my inflammation is down slightly, but I haven't been on the GLP-1s to have a noticeable difference yet (according to my doctors). I'm hoping for more noticeable changes over the upcoming months. Fingers crossed. - HP
ReplyDeleteI intentionally added a stop in a store before getting groceries to both give my my eyes some change of scenery and get more steps despite the humidity. I need to get strength exercise in my day. I'm very frustrated on the weight front., but finally need to get it into my head that evenimg snacks do nothing to help me.
ReplyDeleteDear HP, I am excited for you and this weight loss. I so hope this is the drug that people need. I have seen miracles and I want this for you and so many others. It is the inflammation of the joint and the body that causes the pain and lack of mobility and not weight, Water loss. It in my opinion has never been the weight but the water. Not Bossy!
ReplyDeleteI will be adding another 500 steps to my count this week, and then keeping that count for next week. Look at you losing weight, good for you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
How neat to be in the 140s! I hope to be there someday, but would be happy with 150 too. I was at a yard sale this weekend, looking at size 12 clothes, and the seller said, “Oh honey, those are too big for you”. Made my day.
