The goals, like me, are a work in progress. I always try to set goals that will steer me in the right direction, for things I want to prioritize, things that are challenging for me, and know that progress is the goal. Perfection is probably not an option. If I'm achieving all of the goals each month & year, I'm not pushing myself hard enough, or maybe the goal isn't a match for what I actually want to accomplish.
Here's what I'm thinking about for 2022 goals.
Financial:
- Stick to our budget
- Come up with 5-10 year budget
- Finalize our one income budget
- Determine travel priorities & bucket list items
- Start a donor advised fund, for charitable contributions
Family:
- Plan one fun activity/month
- Have two dates with M
- Schedule quarterly calls with M's family, & send pictures & videos regularly
Fitness/Health:
- Lose 10 lbs
- Run 100 times
- Track calories & eat a balanced diet
- Complete 17,500 minutes of cardio, 100 strength & 50 stretching workouts
- Meditate 100 times
- Fast 100 times
- Close workout rings 330 days (90% success rate)
Personal/Creative:
- Do something social with friends, 2x/month
- Invest time in volunteer roles
- Determine my next phase (post current career). Give thoughtful consideration to this, and test/practice which of these things I can do while still working
- Continue to make kind deeds a regular part of my life, and do research on happiness & the relationship between helping others & happiness
- Consider coaching class
That's it from my side. What about you? What goals are you setting for the year ahead?
Sounds like a good list of goals to work on and achieve.mi hope you reach every goal.
ReplyDeleteI will continue to work on myself as well, I would like to lose some weight next year like I did this year. And I have a small amount of debt I would like to pay off, which shouldn’t be too hard.
Welcome back and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I too look or try to look at goals as progress not perfection. Enjoy every minute with your boys as they grow so quickly. I'm posting goals on Friday.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love the run 100 times and as I cannot run, I think I will do a walk 100 times chart. We have a great 5 mile loop of the river here that I used to run and love to walk. You inspire me.
ReplyDeleteSo far I have only set project goals, I need to really think on what I want to accomplish in the coming year.
ReplyDeleteYour goals give you lots to strive for and make me think that I should do more financially than just trying to come in under budget for the year.
God bless.
Wonderful goals! I intend to keep working part time starting January 1st ( same place)…….I want to walk 5 days a week for an hour a day, and save money for grandchild (and future grandchildren) 529’s possibly, or maybe some other savings vehicle. I had a lovely visit with family, but a nightmare of a trip back by plane involving snow, the passenger next to me vomiting, long delays, and overnight flight. I am not sure I can do to make the trip easier. I have arrived back home to tornado watch and wearing of shorts… lol. Perhaps I will rethink Christmas travel. Cindy in the South
