I was able to sleep in an hour later than normal today, and it was glorious! Sometimes it's just that extra hour that makes all of the difference. It was an absolutely crazy week, on the personal & work side. Having those two busy periods intersect was no fun. However, I was supposed to have been on a 10 day trip to London, and I wasn't. I can't imagine how much worse it would have been (both for me, but also for M & the kids) to manage everything if I was out of town.
We leave for Park City tomorrow, so I need to get everything packed up & ready to go today. Here's what's on the to do list:
- Laundry
- Pack ski gear
- Pack clothes/toiletries
- Make a list for the electronics (tomorrow packing)
- Finalize menu & shopping list (upon arrival)
- Confirm car rental
- Check in for flights
- Dinner tonight - burgers & potato wedges. M making burgers. I need to pick up buns
- Kids to finish all assignments + grade check
- Nick - tennis lessons
- Sam - camp application
- Talk about spring break options
- Pick up the house
- Work out
- Follow up with accountant on taxes
- Pay all bills
- Get all work items sorted
It's going to be a full day! What about you? What's on the agenda at your house?
Enjoy your get away. Collision of home and work are quite difficult, but unavoidable. That's when the proverbial air bags need to be in place, right?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a full day for you! Yay for sleeping in!
ReplyDeleteHere we have basketball games for the 2 boys. Thankfully they are back to back this week and on the same court. The laundry monster needs dealt with today as well. Decided that I wanted steak for dinner so will make a nice dinner tonight since the past week dinners have been kind of fast and blah. Hoping to get some tax stuff entered as well.
Hope you have a great rest of your weekend!
Just working on decluttering the closet today. :)
ReplyDeleteI have been busy watching the police try and clear out our capital city. Things are going slowly and hopefully things will be cleared out by the end of the weekend. Things are getting a bit tense though.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Love Park City! Enjoy! Cindy in the South
ReplyDeleteToday has sort of been recovery from the evening, night, and most of the day without electricity due to tornadic winds knocking a tree across the power line. It sounds like you are busy.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip! That's one thing I'd still like to do - learn to ski.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip!
