Fitness Monday

Yikes, it was a very indulgent week on the eating side. Luckily, M & I have started hiking a lot more, so at least there's some offsetting with great exercise.

Weight: had to be up very early this morning, and forgot to weigh in. Coming shortly

Calories: 1,783/day - I most certainly did not stick to the plan for the week!

Steps: 13,772, despite my very low step day yesterday. Lots of hiking earlier in the week!

Workouts:

  • Ran a 5k on Thanksgiving
  • No workout on Sunday
  • Hiking: 7 miles, 6 miles & 9 miles
  • A couple of days with shorter walks

Goals for the week:

I want to get back on track with my calorie planning, meal prep & my workout classes. When I don't go to those, I definitely have less energy & miss the strength training. I don't want to undo all of the positive momentum from the past few weeks.

What about you? How did you do with your health & fitness goals over the last week?

  1. Did a semi-fast yesterday to offset some of the holiday eating, and weighed in at 108 this morning, exactly where I feel my best, so yeah for that.

Plan is to focus on adding mileage this week, beginning with a five mile walk and stop at gym to do weights today.

After losing 25 pounds this year, other than the very, very occasional splurge, I've pretty much settled into my new post-weight loss eating plan. It is what it is as they say. 😒

  2. I was so afraid I was gonna ng to have a huge weight increase, but managed to stay even. I suppose it was the walking. Now though, with with winter in full force, I have to be much more intentional. I have a lot of weight to lose, not helped my court ng 20 pounds back in from spring to fall.

  3. I really should wear a pedometer. I was so busy this past weekend at work that me feet still hurt today! I'm sure I got more than my fair share of steps in. On Thanksgiving Day, bright and early, I did the 5 mile Turkey Trot here in Austin. Felt great!

  4. Cold, icy and snow here. I have been trying to walk a bit more inside. I may have to make the journey downstairs and use the treadmill.

    God bless.

  5. You did really well on your steps, hiking, and 5K. I’ve gotten in 13,460 steps today thanks in part to the laundry.
