Here are a few fun pictures from our trip:
March was a great month, but it got very spendy. We did stay within our overall budget, thanks to the dependent care reimbursement for childcare, but there were lots of categories that need improvement. Just to name a few:
- Groceries - we were up over $800 this month. Sigh.
- Eating out - up to almost $350.
- The house - over $1500, although most of that was the final payment on our door/roof repairs.
Anyway, the list goes on. We owe a lot in taxes in April ($13,600), so I would like to really cut back our monthly budget for the next few months to absorb some of that.
I'll be back soon with a recap of my March goals & plans for April! How about you? How was your March? What are you focusing on for April?
Your pictures of the beach look lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos!! Looks wonderful! My April will be focuses on SAVING!! :)
ReplyDeleteWent a wee bit over on groceries but a few frugal fails - like a speeding ticket this month in a rental car - ouch. We are experiencing the same wonderful weather on Vancouver Island - pure sunshine for the last four days!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very nice weekend. So far it hasn't really warmed up here bit hopefully soon. We're paying our taxes this month, too. Boo😣
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely time you had! Love the rabbit!
ReplyDeleteI feel like March got away with me a little. I still tracked everything, and didn't go over budget really, I just didn't feel in control.
The warmer weather can't come soon enough here in the UK!
Looks like you had a nice Easter. I wish we lived closer to the beach. March was expensive for us also but it was also bonus month. April is looking better.
ReplyDeleteLove the beach, where in general is your vacation home?
ReplyDeleteWe went way over on groceries , so this month I'm really sticking to the meal plans.
