Here are some of the things that happened this year:
- We achieved $1 million in net worth, which was pretty exciting. ;-)
- I ran some races (and several that I didn't blog about).
- We skied, all winter long. Both boys started skiing black runs. I'm left behind now on the blues. ;-)
- I achieved a personal best in a half marathon.
- We spent a fantastic long weekend at the beach, & celebrated Easter.
- After being sick for a few months, I found out I have lupus.
- We had an absolutely incredible vacation. First with the kiddos on the Oregon coast, and then enjoying some adult time in Las Vegas.
- Celebrated my sister's 40th birthday, with my two BFFs (sister & friend from college). Girl time is always the best.
- Michael got a new job.
- We moved to California!
- I quit my job of 16 years.
- And found a new job.
- Last but not least, spent a crazy fun Christmas at my parents house & at the Oregon coast. I'm blessed to have such a great family. We laughed like crazy, took walks on the beach, ate too much, sang & danced, went on bike rides, and enjoyed festive drinks. It was the best way to end the year.
Here are some pictures from #13. :-)
Those are elk on the golf course, and night time bike riders - wearing their new helmet lights!
What are your memories from 2013?
I hope your 2013 was filled with all kinds of fun, and that 2014 is even more fabulous! Big hugs to all of my blogger friends - I love having a blog & sharing a little peek into our life with you, and reading about your lives. Happy New Years!
Great list - now I want to make a list of 14 goals for 2014! Cheers and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely excited about my goals for 2014! I"m going to spend tomorrow morning creating all of my tracking spreadsheets. . . do I know how to party, or what? ;-)
DeleteHappy New Years! Such ups and downs! I am forever praying for you with lupus. I am thankful that you have such a wonderful family and full life - girl, you inspire me!
ReplyDeleteThank you - I really appreciate both thoughts. There are days when I am not so in the mood, but the more I challenge myself (within reason), the happier I am. That also includes challenges like making sure I make time to work out, relax, read, etc. It's all about balance.
DeleteHere's to the best year yet and to us all in 2014 H Planner!

I love being apart of your blogger family (and am cracking up because it looks like several of us are on here reading blogs right now (on New Years eve))
Financial bloggers are super big partiers! :-) Thank you - I'm hoping 2014 is a bit more settled & relaxing, but who knows. ;-)
Delete2013 was quite a year for you guys! I am always so impressed with you ... I think you are the poster child for setting and achieving goals! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a healthy, happy & prosperous 2014!!!
I most definitely am not the poster child, but appreciate it! I'm one of those people that enjoys setting goals. Even if I don't hit them 100%, it feels good to try, & motivates me to stick with it. I'm usually pleased by the results. Usually. :-)
