Fitness Monday

I tried really hard to get myself back on track, now that I'm home have & no international travel planned until January. I also had a bonus day off this week, which was absolutely lovely.

Weight: Down a lb from the previous week, but for full transparency, I'm up 4.3 lbs from my low (in May, before I started working, of course. ;0)

Calories: 1,527/day, and pretty consistent

Steps: 12,541/day, and I had to come back from a really low step day on Tuesday, so feeling good about this.

Workouts:

  • 4 workout classes (a mix of cardio + strength training)
  • 1 hr slow walking on the treadmill while I worked
  • 30 minute elliptical workout
  • 7+ mile hike

Overall nutrition/goals:

  • It was a good week for nutrition, although I could definitely use more leafy greens. I ate a lot of fruit, and overall ate well, with minimal sugar, alcohol or excess.
  • I feel good about getting back on track & had an intentional week, helped greatly by no traveling & the bonus day off.
Goals for the week are to stay the course, and finish my 10k successfully on Sunday!

What about you? How did you do with your health & fitness goals last week?

    1. You are reminding me of my BFF, who is doing a 10k with me + my sister & mom this weekend. Her treadmill was broken forever. We encouraged her to run outside or go to the gym. My sister finally found someone to fix it for her, so she had no excuses! ;-) - HP

  2. I did pretty good last week and lost three more pounds, so I’m happy with that. I walked over 10,000 steps each day, so that is part of the reason why. The seven mile hike is great! I’d say you slept pretty good that night. I do sleep better on days when I’ve really pushed myself.

    1. It really does help keep me sane. It's such a big part of my mood & energy level. It makes it really difficult when I'm traveling and/or working 14 hour days, so I have sympathy for folks who live like that all the time. It just wrecks you & leaves no energy for anything else. - HP

  4. I did a great deal of walking today. Between grocery shopping, and finding the ultra sound clinic at the hospital I was played out. Still not as many steps as you.

    God bless.
