I slept in this morning (although, woke up to messages from my boss, which was a very fun start to my day), and the extra sleep was so fabulous! I'm not a napper, so sleeping in (until close to 7), felt glorious.

I want to start working on some of my goals for 2026, as well as lock in a bit more on our budget & plans around that, which sounds like a good thing to do this weekend.
Here's what's on the agenda for today:
- Morning hike, hopefully before it rains
- Meeting our neighbors for lunch. Getting to know our neighbors was on my bucket list, and I met another neighbor for a walk earlier this week. These particular neighbors also have a son who is a freshman at Boulder, so I'm sure we will have a lot to talk about!
- Menu planning - almost done with this
- Keep an eye on work (yay)
- Go to the outdoor store to find hiking boots & a backpack for M. I got him one for our anniversary, but he wants to try on some other options & see which he prefers. We both have a list of other things we need for a 5 day New Zealand hiking trip. I want him to have lots of time to break in his boots & experiment with gear.
- Meal prep (may shift to tomorrow)
- Make butternut squash soup & roasted carrots
