There is nothing worse than fearing for the safety of your kids. There was a shooting in Boulder on Halloween, and a 19 year old was killed at a house party. He was a student at the school with Nick, and the shooting took place a block from where Nick was at the time. It's absolutely horrifying. I spent Sunday morning trying to get a hold of him & it's just so heartbreaking for the parents. This kid was the same age - enjoying his weekend with friends & spending time together on Halloween. Another student is in critical condition. What an absolutely senseless & horrific situation. I have not been able to stop thinking about the parents & family of these kids, as well as the other kids who witnessed this situation.
There have been a lot of tears. You send your kids out in the world & just hope for their safety.
