August Goals

I feel like July absolutely whipped by. Here are my goals for August.

Financial:

  • Keep working on 401k contributions
  • Ensure HSA & 529 contributions are properly set up
  • Meal plan, & use up 3 freezer/pantry items, preference to those things that are Nick's favorites & we won't eat.
Family:
  • Finish all of Nick's college prep & drop him off at college. (Cue all of the emotions)
  • Help Sam decide on fall plans
  • One date night with M

Fitness:

  • Lose 2 lbs
  • Start back with fitness checkins with friends
  • 15, & 15 (strength training, no S days - dropped the meditation, as I haven't been prioritizing this at all)
  • Start half marathon training plan
  • Average 12,000 steps/day

Personal:
  • Get together with friends x2
  • Say yes to adventure & try new things
  • Figure out new work schedule, & get settled into new job
  • Declutter 50 items
  • Work on planning fun travel & budgets

What about you? What are you hoping to accomplish in August?

  1. I definitely need to work on doing more fitness as I let it slide during my recent sickness. I’m doing better, but not back at it like I was before.
Cue on the emotions is right with Nick’s college drop off. I hope he has a very successful year.
We will be decluttering this month too as we prepare for a consignment sale at the end of the month.
I need to make my list of goals for August too.

  2. You are welcome to have a break down when that last one leaves, I know I did. I am here for you.

  3. I purposely left my calendar open for August since I have no fewer than 3 concerts to attend in the fall. Meeting with a friend, taking dinner to my 2nd son, going to my first book club meeting, and continuing with PT are tops of the August plan. College drop offs are hard - give yourself lots of love and grace.

  4. I am concentrating on trying to get the garden harvested as much as possible. This means the extent of my exercise is mostly bending and stretching. I hope to finish weaving a rug, knit 10 pairs of mitts, finish copying the recipes we enjoy and getting rid of those we don't. I also want to hopefully get 2 firepit quilts finished.

    God bless.
