Ten Things Tuesday

I'm in a random mood today, so here goes. :-)

  1. I survived skiing solo with the kids yesterday. And, it was fabulous!
  2. I had a great run today.
  3. I've made $560 (net) on eBay so far, & I'm thrilled! I'll be able to buy our Las Vegas plane tickets in the next week or so.
  4. We're heading to the beach on Thursday evening for a long weekend.
  5. I feel like my marriage with M gets stronger all the time. We've always been happy, but not having infants & getting plenty of sleep has made life easier. :-) I feel like we're in a fantastic groove.
  6. I'm sort of bored with money at the moment. We finished our refinance, we've cut back the majority of our exuberant spending, we're doing a good job of not spending on "wants" vs needs, & things feel on track. It's a bit boring. ;-)
  7. I need to focus on losing these last 10-15 pounds. I'm getting of plenty of exercise, so it's what I'm eating, obviously (and how much, of course). I've gotten sloppy & need to clean things up.
  8. I love ski season, but I'm happy it's wrapping up. It's a lot of work/laundry/effort, & I like having Sundays for my long runs & a bit of relaxing around the house.
  9. The sun is shining & I desperately want to be outside right now. In Seattle, you don't waste these moments in February!
  10. My big boy, S, turned seven on Saturday.

How are you all? Anything thrilling happening this Tuesday?

    2. I've now sold pretty much all of my high value items, so it will be slow going from here on out. But, at least my closet looks better! :-)

    2. I felt like a hero, & the kids had a great time, so it all worked out. I think I need walkie talkies for next time, in case we get separated.

  3. I love your ten things Tuesday! Sounds like a lot of great stuff going on! i never was much for skiing, mostly because of the expense and my clumsiness! We don't have great places to ski in Virginia, so it never was a priority. I need to start running again. I just haven't felt good to do it. I'm hoping as soon as the weather takes a turn toward Spring, I will be out there! (Wish you lived close to kick me outside!)

    2. I would totally drag you out of the house for some runs. Do you have any friends who would be interested in doing a 5K or something with you? The training would keep you on a schedule, & the distance would be totally manageable.

  4. That's a lot of money from your e-bay sales. I would like to ski but the nearest ski hill is over a hundred miles away.

    1. I'm about to put my last "big money" item in the mail, so now I'm left with the smaller stuff, and doing the tradeoff on effort vs expected value. We'll see how I do after this. :-)

  5. I can totally relate to things being boring once they're in working order... my budget is as boring as can be, but it works as awesome as it's supposed to, so I'd rather take that, vs the stress of not having it figured out and working.

    2. Exactly! I'll definitely take things being in order & working over stress, but I like to see visual progress & goals being achieved. I need to come up with another interim goal, I think.
