It was another busy week, but less ups & downs to manage. Now, this week is going to be a wild ride. I have 8 interviews (4 interviews for each company that I'm going through a full panel with). Plus, my class. I originally had a consulting call as well, but luckily that was cancelled. We also have a lot going on for Nick's last month of school, with AP testing, & lots of activities. But, I'm trying to make time to enjoy it!
Weight: My weight is stable since the last time I've weighed in. While no progress, I suppose it's better than going up? It would be nice to see small, incremental drops.
Calories: Overall, pretty pleased with my calories, at an average of 1,380/day.
Steps: My steps were 13,355/day, benefited greatly by the hiking day.
Workouts:
- 5 challenging HIIT workout classes
- A 7.5 mile hike
- 60 minutes on the elliptical (I use this as a rest day, and also to watch a class I need to prep for my teaching gig)
Overall nutrition: Honestly, it was a pretty good week. I had a chocolate chip cookie that Nick's friend made (and was fantastic), and I had wine 4x. I'd like to get this down to just Friday-Sunday, but Wednesday night was a mini date, where we sat by the pool & had a glass of wine. I will set that goal for this week. Otherwise, I'm pleased with my nutrition last week.
Goals for the week: I have a very intense week ahead. My goal is to manage my stress level, not resort to snacking, and to work out consistently. The working out is mostly because it helps me manage my stress level.
What about you? How did you do with your health & nutrition goals this week?
I hear you on the wine.. I also try to aim for only Friday - Sunday, but sometimes a Thursday night calls for one..... I will join you in making this a goal for this week - no glass until Friday at the earliest.
ReplyDeleteI have done a bit more walking this past week, but need to step it up. Trying hard to use portion control.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I think you will see results very soon - you seem to be on the right track! This has motivated me to walk at least three times this week and maybe work in some weights. I've got a busy week ahead, too, and need to not self medicate with snacks!
ReplyDeleteI have to almost stop eating to lose weight. I wish I were kidding, but not so much. I have to stay at around 1100 calories, plus miles long walks or hikes, in order to drop weight. To be fair, I'm down to my last few pounds, and that certainly may be a factor.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, I've done well on all fronts. One glass of wine Fri-Sun, and now approaching a my sixth week of zero sugar. The last one is finally becoming much easier.

ReplyDeleteThe wine has good benefits too. People living in the Blue Zones or the Mediterranean diet drink a glass each day. I’m happy when my weight stays the same as I know it hasn’t went up, which I consider a victory. Great number of steps on Saturday! I got over 10,000 that day and was very happy with that.
ReplyDeleteEIGHT interviews! That sounds totally exhausting, I'm wishing you all the best on all of them, hopefully you can land one of these two and be done with job hunting. <3
