Menu Plan Monday

There is quite a bit of cooking planned for the week ahead, thanks to the long weekend & time to prep.

What about you? What's on your menu this week?

  1. I’m back into my kitchen tomorrow after being away for 7 of the last 8 weeks, and I’m much looking forward to it.

I perused the rosemary white bean recipe above (thanks for link!), and at first glance at ingredients list, I’m concerned that it may end up lacking flavor. If you can, would love to get your thoughts once you’ve made and sampled it, because it looks like a super easy soup to put together!

    1. I'm planning to have some today, so I'll report back! The ham & lentil soup was fantastic.

    2. I tried the soup & thought it was really flavorful. I'd say, if you like rosemary, I think you'll like this. I didn't think it was overpowering, but you could definitely taste it. Report back, if you make it! :-)

    3. Thank you, I love rosemary, and I will!

PS- Hope the guys made it back without incident from Tahoe given the snowfall!

    4. Thanks, Tamara! They did make it back. Took them a while (close to 7 hours), as they had the freeway closed two different times due to spin outs, & had to take a longer route due to flooding in Sacramento. But, everyone was back safely!

  2. I've got chili started, but I have broth that needs using, and zi think I have a can of beans, so might make a small batch of the white bean, though might need modifications with what's here. I love a good soup!

    1. Same! If only my family was into soup as well. More for me, I suppose. ;-)

  3. Yum, that all sounds delicious. Do you use a ham bone in your split pea soup? I’ve always wanted to do one of the ham bones from the Honey Baked Ham company. Maybe this will be the year I do that. Today I made a pizza for lunch and have chicken thawing for dinner. I’ll probably make Pineapple Sticky Chicken. 😊

    1. Sam & I are the only ones who really eat ham, so I don't ever have any on hand. I bought a very small sliced ham for the soup, and used half of it, but your idea sounds delicious!
