Baby bok choy & Sunday things

After I used bok choy in a recipe, I decided to see if I could bring them back to life (similar to celery). A quick internet search told me it was possible. They are already starting to sprout again. Our window is dirty due to the exterior painting (they power washed first), so cleaning that needs to get on our to do list!

I'm going to maximize my day today, so here's what's on the agenda:

  • Run 2-3 miles
  • Build schedule for the week
  • And, workout schedule
  • Nick has online math tutoring
  • And tennis
  • Laundry (forever & always)
  • Clean the kitchen
  • Bathrooms
  • Vacuum
  • I need to mail two packages
  • M is taking the kids to a hair cut. It's been a LONG time since salons have been open in our area, but they are back
  • And, M is making dinner
Other than that, I am hoping to read for a bit in the sunshine. What about you? What are you up to today?

  1. Good to know on the Bok Choy. I always put the bottoms of green onions in shot glasses. They grow so fast and can be cut down 4 or 5 times before the bottom gets too soft and falls apart.

Sounds like you have a busy day. Enjoy your run. I hope you do find that down time to read a bit!

  2. Oh boy. When I first saw the pic (before reading), I thought it was a beautiful lime dessert...lol. Well done on regrowing the bok choy!

Sounds like a busy day. Hope it was a good one!

    1. A lime dessert sounds much better than new bok choy! :-)

    1. We had rain here as well today, and I'm hoping for the sun tomorrow. I can get in a workout on the elliptical, but its's not the same as being outside.

    1. Will do! We have an avocado tree growing in the yard from a seed Nick planted last year. It's pretty cool

  5. Where di my week go! I am behind on catching up on others blogs. While salons are open with measures, I still haven't gone and my hair is beyond too long. I don't know if I now what taste Bok Choy has, but I think that is cool you are getting sprouts.

    1. M finally cut my hair a couple of months back. I much prefer it a few inches past shoulder length.

I don't know that I've eaten a lot of bok choy, but I've definitely never bought/prepped it before. It came in a meal delivery kit. It's good - kind of like a cabbage, so mostly picks up the flavor of whatever you season it with.
