Menu Plan Monday

I feel like we're in a meal planning rut. I got an offer for a 75% off meal box (one week), that I may try out in the next few weeks. The meals come already prepped, & you just warm them up. With the discount, it's close to the cost of groceries. We'll see.

We eat all of our dinners with salads, and the boys often have a bowl of fruit after dinner, as "dessert". :-)

  • Friday - gyozas & wings
  • Saturday - egg roll in a bowl
  • Sunday - grilled burgers
  • Monday - leftover egg roll in a bowl
  • Tuesday - spaghetti & meatballs (you see this often on the menu, but it's our "we always have it on hand, and our backup plan, if we don't have other options." We probably only really have it about once a month.)
  • Wednesday - leftover burgers
  • Thursday - leftover spaghetti

What about you? What's on your menu this week?

  1. 75% off is a great deal! I would consider one for that price. I watched a TikTok video where this lady bought a family meal from Longhorn Steakhouse for $29.99. It came with 6 grilled chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, green beans, a huge 9 x 13 salad, and 2 bags of rolls. She said it was cheaper than buying groceries.

    1. I've seen a few Panera "family meals" that they offered during the peak of COVID restrictions, and I think they were about the same as the cost of groceries. We did a few of those, and my teens loved it. :-)

The meals I've ordered should be here tomorrow, so I'll share our thoughts. Between myself, Sam & M, we cover: hungry teens, reasonably balanced/calorie conscious eater, and Keto diner.

  2. What is so frustrating about bloggers is that they never do follow ups. How is your back today? I am sure readers would like to know. Roderick

    1. This really gave me a laugh. I hope no one is sitting around, waiting with bated breath to hear about my back. But, if they are, I appreciate their concern. It's better, but not totally back to normal.

  3. That's a great deal on those meals.

Nothing really exciting happening here and my menu is still one of using things up.

    God bless.

    1. It is a great deal. They arrive next Tuesday. It's nice, as my husband can have Keto meals, I can have high protein/reasonable calories, and my non picky teen can have something totally different. I love that I can order just one of each, or more than one. It's way too expensive without the discount, so I'll enjoy this little break from meal prepping, planning & cooking! :-) One of my coworkers uses this service & loves it, but she doesn't have kids, so her food costs are lower overall.
